Reissuing a greatest-hits album in tandem with a proper studio effort seems odd, but incongruous pairings such as this are only part of the territory when Collectables is involved. Greatest Hits was originally issued in 1970 and is highlighted by Smith's biggest hit, "Little Green Apples," and his only other Top Ten single, "Daddy's Little Man."
