Movement by The B-side Players is a high-energy, multi-genre stew with the distinct flavors of reggae, funk, Latin jazz, rock, and hip-hop. Movement has a lot of social and political substance and is a memorable release. "Souldier" is a Marley-esque call for hope and pride in the face of troubling times. "Puro Feeling" combines an Issac Hayes funk groove with a flamenco rhythm and a jazzy melody, making it a perfect hit for a sunny day. The band wonderfully celebrates its individualism in "Spill the Wine." None of the eclectic musical choices, like adding a DJ scratching to a heavy metal song, seem forced. Read More
