Songs like "Bleed," "Loser," and feature the slick productions, big guitars, and engaging harmonies that make hit singles; occasionally unfortunate lyrics like "Jimmie crack rock and I don't care" distract from the immediate, kinetic rush of the group's sound, but singer Denny Lake's charismatic vocals smooth over such rough spots.
